Relevance to Cox’s Road: John Lewin painted a scene called Jamison Valley, somewhere along the creek before it plunges into the valley. The rainforest pockets located within the various valleys on either side of Cox’s Road, were often regarded as mysterious places, but of necessity, places where men sometimes scaled down to locate water.
