Relevance to Cox’s Road: Mitchells Pass, including Lennox Bridge, provided a bypass of Lapstone Hill that made this section of Cox’s Road redundant. This bridge spanned Lapstone Creek, and is the oldest surviving as well as the first scientifically designed stone-arch bridge on the Australian mainland.
